NOTTINGHAM PREACHING POINT

Brief History of Nottingham Preaching Point

Nottingham Preaching Point was established on 5th January 2020.

Our first meeting was held on this day at a private residence in Nottingham.

In attendance were 11 people ,7 adults and 4 children.
We started worshipping every Sunday at the same private residence from 12 noon to 1pm.

We were visited by the District Minister Rev. Joseph Prince Oduro on the 16th February 2020 which instigated our search for a place of Worship.

We were then assigned to Rev Mrs Gifty Aboagye who visited us for the first time on 8th March 2020 and was instrumental in finding our previous place of worship and help us to organise the purchase of some of our church items for worship.

Soon after COVID 19 hit the world , the lock down in the UK started but we continued to worship every Sunday from 10 – 11:30am with sister congregations and preaching points (Wolverhampton-Bethel, Coventry, Leicester and Sheffield) on Zoom with Rev Mrs Gifty Aboagye overseeing proceedings.

We currently worship every Sunday from 1 – 3pm.

As mentioned earlier, interim officers were nominated to steer the affairs of the newly established fellowship.

Rev Mrs Aboagye looked after Nottingham Preaching Point for a while and then Rev. Anthony Anoom took over in early 2021 under the new zones within the Midlands District until 30th September 2022 when he was transferred.

Currently the following are interim members committee as officers of the fellowship, as we wait for the appointment of our new minister in charge of our branch.

Mrs. Agatha Opoku Nomafo – Care Taker
Mrs.Peggy Osei-Achiaa Erskine – IMC Secretary
Mrs. Ruth Boateng – IMC Financial Secretary
